Information about taxe refund
At Parapente-proshop.com, we have been familiar with export delivery and the tax refund system for more than 10 years.
In particular, we can:
- Deliver to your vacation spot on the other side of the world,
- Deliver in mainland France to your home, workplace, parcel relay or poste restante, with VAT reimbursement when leaving the country.
For all our delivery solutions, there are 2 main principles:
1/ Immediate payment excluding tax (HT)
- Are you an individual shipping outside the EU? French VAT is not charged, so you pay for your order excluding VAT and we deliver directly to a country outside the European Union.
This is the simplest case. If you have your order delivered to a country outside the European Union, the invoice is automatically net of VAT and the VAT is immediately deducted from the amount payable.
Please note, however, that you may have to pay taxes upon arrival. - Are you a European professional? Do you buy products related to your professional activity and have them delivered to Europe?

After sending certain documents and checking the validity of your VAT number, we can create a VAT-free account for you.
2/ Payment including tax and VAT refund
Are you a foreign resident, holder of a non-EU passport or a consular card for French expatriates?
Are you having your items delivered to France and would like to take them home and benefit from tax exemption?
It is possible, under certain conditions, we can reimburse you the French VAT as soon as the customs formalities have been completed:
1/ Have your habitual residence in a State which is not a member of the European Union or in a third State.
2/ Make a purchase over €175 including tax (excluding shipping and service costs)
3/ Get it delivered to France.
4/ Leave France via an automatic Pablo terminal (or failing that a customs office) with the purchased goods.
The French overseas departments (French Guiana, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Réunion, Mayotte, etc.) are excluded from the tax refund slip system.
How does it work?
- When ordering, request a tax refund slip when choosing your delivery address, and complete this form
- Once your order is finalized and paid, we will send you an email with the list of documents required to create a Pablo tax refund slip (name of the electronic tax refund system).
Essential supporting documents to be able to carry out a tax refund
- You are a traveler of foreign nationality: valid passport.
- You are of French nationality: valid passport + consular registration card or certificate of registration in the register of French people living outside France - The Pablo slip will be sent to you by email within 24 hours of your package being sent.
- Before the end of the third month following the month in which the document was issued, you automatically have your slip validated at a Pablo terminal when leaving the country (more than 100 Pablo terminals available).
If you do not go through a physical customs office, you return the original stamped/signed tax refund slip to us (only if there is no Pablo terminal). - Upon validation by a Pablo terminal or upon receipt of your stamped slip, we will reimburse you the VAT within a maximum of 15 days.
Reimbursement will be made using the same payment method as that used for your order.
Please note:
- Requesting a tax refund will delay the shipment of your order.
The documents required for tax exemption must be sent to us within 48 hours of your order. - Tax exemption must be requested at the same time as the order.
The invoice and the slip must be established on the same day because the procedure is entirely computerized at the customs declaration level.
You must therefore request a tax refund slip at the same time as your order, before payment.
The following are excluded from the scheme and cannot claim tax exemption:
- Persons residing in a Member State of the European Union: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden;
- Persons residing in the Principality of Monaco;
- People who leave to take up their post in a third country or in a similar territory;
- People who have returned to France or the European Union to resettle there;
- People who leave the European Union permanently, even if they return to their country of origin;
- Members of diplomatic and consular missions and international organizations stationed in France or the European Union;
- Students and trainees who stay in France or the European Union for six months or more per year;
- People who reside in the overseas departments of Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique, Mayotte and Réunion;
- Personnel of transport companies (air, sea, road) during a trip carried out as part of their professional activity.
At any time, customs may cancel your tax refund slip if any of the conditions are not met.
In this case, we will not be able to proceed with the refund and we will not be able to issue a new slip.
Namely:
- The person transporting the goods outside France must be the same person who made the purchase.
- The merchandise must be new and unused.
- The billing address must be outside the EU and the delivery address in France.
If the Pablo terminals are not working during your trip, you must go to the customs office to have your slip validated and return it to us by post as soon as possible. Only originals will be refunded, and this will be within six months of the purchase date.
FAQ
What is the deadline for validating a tax refund slip?
You have 3 months after its issue to validate a Pablo slip at customs. After this period, we will not be able to issue a new one and no tax refund can be requested.
How much will my refund be?
Your refund will be for the amount of VAT paid on the goods only. This may exclude VAT on delivery charges or any services provided.
When will I be reimbursed?
After you pass through customs (automatic kiosk), we will be automatically notified. The refund will be issued within 3 to 4 weeks directly to your credit card if you paid by credit card, or by bank transfer.
