The BV1 is designed to accompany you on the most demanding vol-bivouac expeditions. Our R&D team has achieved the alchemy of robustness and comfort in a lightweight harness whose practical and efficient side makes it the ideal tool for vol-bivouac. Everything in this harness, from the choice of fabrics to the architecture of the structure, has been designed to withstand intensive use in the mountains. It is the harness of the most extreme vol-bivouac expeditions, the one that Antoine Girard chose to accompany him to the depths of the Himalayas and to Broad Peak, above which he reached the altitude record of 8400m.
Inflatable protection under a large part of the body, sufficient storage volume to carry everything you need during an expedition and even loops to hold a solar panel during the flight as well as an anti-forgetting system capable of retaining the rider makes the BV1 a special harness that meets the philosophy “everything you need, nothing unnecessary”.

Inflatable Protection

The storage spaces are designed so that the back protector can be inflated even when all your equipment is in place and so that the harness is comfortable in flight even loaded with all your bivouac kit*.

Storage Volumes

The compartment located under the seat is easily accessible via a horizontal opening which allows you to put heavy and bulky equipment such as a stove, a tent and walking poles (hopefully you won't need them).

The rear compartment is accessed via a double-slider zipper and magnetic locking. Part of this pocket is dedicated to the hydration bag with an exit for the tube above the shoulder.

The pocket located under the cockpit easily accommodates an external battery.

The pocket above the cocoon is easily accessible and ideal for a camera and anything else you need to be able to grab in flight.

The left pocket is large enough to fit a camera mount or other accessories.

Solar Panel Fasteners

Loops intended to secure a solar panel are located on top of the cocoon and allow it to be installed facing the sun once in flight to recharge your batteries.

Architecture and Comfort

Nitinol rods improve back support and others in carbon are placed under the seat, improving comfort and facilitating quick transition to a standing position for somewhat technical summit landings. The wide leg straps provide the comfort and sensitivity of a bucket seat. Finally, the thigh straps can be opened to easily put on the harness, even when loaded.

*The harness's inflatable back protector must be fully inflated to comply with the EN standard.
